Description
WordPress.org should allow members to send private messages to each other. This would allow community members to contact each other without having to share their email address with the general public via support forum messages or any other registered users via having it visible on their profile (as requested #9, which should be implemented regardless).
Even if the amount of private messages would be very limited, this would be very useful. I for one would have contacted several users share information with them that I haven't been ready to share on public forums, but gave up after there was no easy way.
The only times I've been able to contact a community member outside WordPress.org without having either one share their email with others has been when either one has shared a link to a website that includes a contact form.

While this sounds like a nice idea, the amount of garbage that would come through would be horrendous. Managing it, preventing harassment, and abuse, would be a total nutty thing to try and moderate.
