Add subscription form to bbPress.org Blog

Description

bbPress feed is no longer showing up in the WP admin dashboard for some time. Adding a subscription form will be beneficial for users who want to be updated with the latest news directly from the bbPress organization.

P.S. This goes for BuddyPress feed as well https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/5340

Both the bbPress and the BuddyPress feeds are reflected in the main Planet feed, which is the source for the dashboard feed: http://planet.wordpress.org/

Hi Otto42. I can only see the links to the BuddyPress.org & bbPress.org sites and links to the respective feeds in the right sidebar of http://planet.wordpress.org/ but the posts themselves are not included in http://planet.wordpress.org/ and therefore do not show up in the meta box in the admin dashboard.

It's good to have a subscription form in any blog. I subscribe to many make.wordpress.org blogs directly myself instead of using a feed reader nowadays :)

@Otto42 Couldn't we just add Jetpack's subscription widget here?

You can add a subscription widget if you like, but that won't affect the WordPress dashboard in any way.

Both bbPress and Buddypress feeds show up in the WP admin dashboard as part of the general planet feed.

You're right, they do. It seems like the premise of this ticket doesn't apply or no longer applies.
