It seems like either the feeds or links to feeds are broken.

​This forum links to ​https://it.wordpress.org/forums/forum/guide-e-soluzioni/feed/ and ​https://it.wordpress.org/forums/forum/guide-e-soluzioni/feed/?type=topic.

This is related to #1135. Using a forum root makes the feed links work.

Still on my first cup of coffee this morning but I think this makes sense ;)

Further, the below are what should be valid RSS feed URL's for it.wordpress.org and there bbPress.org equivelants

Doesn't work as expected

Forums feed: (Forum root, RSS feed for all topics and replies)


Single forum feed: (Topics and Replies for a single forum)

Single forum topic feed: (Topics only for a single forum)

Works as expected
Single topic feed: (Replies only for a single topic)

Should not work
Invalid URL's include a feed e.g. ​https://it.wordpress.org/aaaaa/bbbb/feed/

It's not actually related @knutsp, though this is not so easily and readily discernible ;)

  • This ticket #1127 is in the "International Forums" component and these forums are powered by bbPress 2.x
  • The issue in #514 is in the "Support Forums" component and these forums are powered by bbPress 1.x :)

Reopening this as ​https://it.wordpress.org/forums/feed should be a valid RSS feed for all topics and replies in all forums for ​https://it.wordpress.org/forums just as bbPress' does here ​https://bbpress.org/forums/feed

As noted above, invalid URL's with /feed added a suffix generates partial RSS feeds, this appears to be the same partial RSS content for ​https://it.wordpress.org/forums/feed.

Not sure, since /feed is the default one for posts. ​https://it.wordpress.org/forums/forums/feed/ would be correct one.

Right, works for me, closing again, we can add a link (or see below) if enough support/requests want to see a feed link on the forums home page.

Side Note: I've got a ticket and patch for automatic RSS feed discovery in ​#2305, though the above feed type I'd never allowed for anyway ;)
