Description

Add a Demo Button(s) to the plugins info page/readme. It would only appear if you added it to readme like any other readme object (screenshots, faqs, ect..)

Nothing stopping you putting a demo link in the description so it appears on the 1st page the users sees.

An external link demo button would surely be abused.

Thats just my opinion though.

I agree this isn't necessary, but how would a button be more abused than a regular link?

If this is supposed to work like the other tabs (which I suspect is the intention) then it would only link to a sub-section of the readme, not to an external link.

@khromov Spot on. It would just bring more awareness to the fact you took the time to create a demo too... not a direct link out from the tab but another area where you can add a link or instructions and link or links to the demo.

  • Resolution set to wontfix
  • Status changed from new to closed

Plugins can add links, images, and videos to the description if needed. Adding another tab or another button doesn't seem worthwhile here. (See also the above-linked Slack conversation.)
