The extra whitespace is due to the topics count column being removed in r2428

Incoming patch reverts the appropriate r2428 change restoring the topic count column to the forums loop templates.

Looks good.

[2428] was an attempt to make sidebar look better with the forum list still squeezed into it, but we're no longer trying to do that, and it does make sense to display topic count along with the post count column on the forums home page.

This change restores what was previously removed in [2428] which was an attempt to make the sidebar look better with the forum list squeezed into it, we're no longer trying to do that.
