Search term '.htaccess' broken on wordpress.org

Description

When searching wordpress.org for '.htaccess' you are returned the following error:

"Access Denied Sorry, but the WordPress.org website appears to be having problems at the moment."

eg. ​http://wordpress.org/search/.htaccess

Workaround is to search for the term without the leading period

eg. ​http://wordpress.org/search/htaccess

Otto's going to strip periods just from queries with ".htaccess" in them.

I decided to strip any leading periods, since those made no sense in search context there anyway. Only leading periods though.
