My patch disables Jetpack gravatar hovercards completely because I don't think those any value at all.

I don't personally care much for them, but I don't think everyone would agree that the hovercards don't have value in all contexts. As far as I can tell, the only other place they are used on WordCamp sites is in post comment sections, but I suspect many people like being able to use them to find out more about particular commenters.

@sippis if you want to disable them completely, we should start a ​community conversation about it. For this ticket, let's just focus on the Badge Generator issue.
