Description
Most of WP.org sections have a grey <h2>
subheading. This includes:
- https://wordpress.org/showcase/
- https://wordpress.org/themes/
- https://wordpress.org/plugins/
- https://wordpress.org/mobile/
- https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page
- https://make.wordpress.org/
- https://wordpress.org/about/
The new Support Theme is different:
- On home page, the subheading is large, screen-wide,
<h1>
. - Internal forum pages do have a proper subheading, but it's
<p>
on a blue background, with a underline.
It's similar to make.wordpress.org sites with o2/Breathe, e.g. https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/.
My suggestions:
- There should be a consistent "Support" subheading on all pages in Support section.
- It should probably be grey for consistency with other sections. Alternatively, other sections should be updated to use o2/Breathe styles.

The blue header is actually the new one. It will be used for all new themes. See also https://wordpress.org/plugins-wp/.

Both, @Otto42 and @ocean90 are correct. We're moving toward a common blue bar which will display the section title and subnav items along with a search capability. It's being implemented slowly across the site as redesigns happen.
Should we close this ticket?

- Resolution set to invalid
- Status changed from new to closed
There's still a few minor styling issues like the underline under the header that says Support, but since this isn't really done or launched yet, then I don't think we need individual tickets for each particular thing at present.
I think that's intentional (mostly). We're switching everything over to the newer look, slowly, doing away with the gray subheading in favor of the blue style.
