    1 FWIW obviously @engelen's suggestion would have prevented the issue that caused me to file this bug in the first place, so I'm in favor. :-) But really, I think his point about most people having a single "Downloads" folder, which gets filled with cruft quickly, is the heart of the matter. I also always download a fresh WP installer when I need one because who knows what I've been doing with the other stuff in my downloads folder.

    33Changing the download folder name to include the version number does nothing but ''improve'' clarity. If it isn't onerous to implement on the admin side of things (i.e. preparing the download), I can't imagine why it would be a bad idea.
