#2353 closed defect (fixed)

Support Forum: Admins don't see warning when replying to topics in closed forums

Reported by: Ipstenu Owned by: coffee2code
Milestone: Priority: normal
Component: Support Forums Keywords: has-screenshots

Description

When a regular user tries to reply to a topic in a closed forum, they get an error. Admins don't.

This leads to admins not realizing the forum is closed. We should have a notice, like we do for closed topics (This topic is closed but your super powers let you reply...).

In 5080:

Support Forums: Remove the notice for closed forums added in [4610].

The code is moving to wporg-support theme, for consistency with a similar notice for closed topics.

See #2353, #bb3076.

Support Theme: For closed forums, add a notice to privileged users indicating that though the reply form is available, the forum is closed.

The code is relocated from the support-forums plugin.

See #2353, #bb3076.
