Description

Hi,

i wondered why i never got emails from wordpress about my slack account and notifications etc.

So i checked my mail-server logs and found the problem, the smtp-fwd.lax.wordpress.org has no rDNS set, so my mail-server rejected those mails.

everything from slack / chat.wordpress.org goes over smtp-fwd.lax.wordpress.org, don't know if there are more services.

I had to reconfigure my postfix and remove the option "reject_unknown_reverse_client_hostname" from "smtpd_recipient_restrictions" to get all those mails.

As far as i know, on many mail-servers these option is active, mailcow has it in default active.

Greetings
Marcel

Hi @zero85,

A rDNS entry has been added to the forwarder, can you confirm that it looks like it's fixed now? Thanks!

Hi @dd32,

i activated the option "reject_unknown_reverse_client_hostname" from "smtpd_recipient_restrictions" again and the mails are now accepted.

Thank you!
