Sometimes comments make a page too long to read. If I want to read some comment in between the page, it is really hard to reach it as there are many long comments before. I used ​Full Page Screen Capture to take screenshot of ​https://make.wordpress.org/core/tag/javascript/ but page was so long that extension had to split page into 3 separate images.

Hi 0xcrypto, welcome to Meta trac.

It's true, that can happen. P2 offers two remedies for that, a "Hide comment threads" toggle at the top of each page to hide comments on all posts, and a "Hide comments" toggle at the bottom of each post to hide comments on that specific post.
Rather than truncating all comments for everyone, how about you try working with those to manage long comment threads?
