Page not found when open category from post notification email

When I get email notification for new post. I found there is categories mentioned: Blog and it links to ​https://2017.ahmedabad.wordcamp.org/?taxonomy=category&term=blog. When I open, It give 404 error. I have noticed that, I am not able to change slug for Category. I have renamed default "Uncategorised" Category to "Blog" but still its slug is "uncategorised" on website, while in email it is "blog".

I am co-organizer of WordCamp Ahmedabad. I also found same issue on WordCamp Kanpur email post notification.

@kraftbj, I haven't had time to dig into this yet, but before I do I'm curious if you're aware of any Jetpack Subscriptions issues that would cause this. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any WordCamp.org customizations that would.

Possibly related to global terms, which were disabled on WordCamp.org ​10 months ago. Closing this ticket, if this happens again an issue should be ​opened on github.
