Description (last modified by SergeyBiryukov)

Background: #2167, #2561.

The forums currently have a "My Account" link at the bottom of the sidebar, but its placement is not very logical, as people generally expect the profile link to be in the upper part of the screen, see a recent discussion in #forums.

Additionally, there's no place for "My Account" section on the forums landing page or on other users' profiles.

The admin bar seems to be a logical choice for the profile link, however there was a concern raised in comment:13:ticket:2167 about an inconsistency between admin bars across WordPress.org.

I still think adding a profile link there, along with other profile views: "Topics Started", "Replies Created", etc, would be a good enhancement. Something similar is implemented on bbPress.org, see the screenshot.

I'm greatly in favour of adding a link to the support profile somewhere at the top right, as in your screenshot.

The current location is not only unintuitive, but it's buried below a ton of other text, almost always requires scrolling to locate, and is very easy to miss.

It would be much more intuitive to put it at the top right.

Yeah, it might be a good idea to move the existing "My Account" section to the top of the sidebar, regardless of any admin bar changes.
