WordPress.org Showcase showing incorrect / defunct thumbnails

The Showcase page Slider as well as the project listing show an autogenerated thumbnail pulled from the site. The sites shown here are very prestigious, and some of them are showing incomplete views of the website (with their slider images as blank). In case of Ogilvy & Mather site, it is showing a thumbnail with an "Internal error" screen.

It would be great if we can have an option to have a JPG screenshot taken manually as a backup, since the Showcase page impacts the marketing communication and overall impression of WordPress.

The showcase system already has the ability to use manual screenshots when desired. They can be uploaded to either the system or more likely the wordpressdotorg media section on w.com, and the screenshot URL can be added the listing using the "screenshot" meta field.

Just need to tell the maintainer. I believe the latest maintainer is @heymarkarms

@Otto42 we haven't heard from @heymarkams and can't locate him....his user profile is mostly blank. Can you help direct us to who to go to for this fix?
