I tried to access the url "locale.wordpress.org" quoted on this page: "​https://make.wordpress.org/meta/handbook/documentation/profile-badges/" in the "Criteria" column of the "Polyglots" team but apparently this url no longer exists.

Hi @elvishp2006, welcome to WordPress Meta Trac! Thanks for the report.

That's not an actual URL, locale is a placeholder for a locale code to reference localized sites like ru.wordpress.org.

I've replaced locale with [locale], hopefully this makes it clearer.
