Description
Hello! I would like to suggest a UX/UI update to the profiles. The two profiles I'm referring to is:
- Global Profile, accessible by clicking your name in the admin bar
- Forum Profile, accessible by clicking your name in the Forum sidebar
It's clear the two are disconnected which is fine but I would like to see a link in the Global Profile to your Forums profile since it's has much more detail than the Activity feed. Previously, I didn't even know there were 2 different profiles and I believe this change will make it clearer that there are different profiles.
I think a link to the forum profile would fit best either in the admin bar as an additional link, underneath the Activity Feed tab, or next to the edit|notifications
links ( but I believe this is too small and not the best place for it ).
I don't think we need a link back to the global profile on the Forum Profile since the admin bar is showing at the top but I'm also not against the repetition to make it easier.

Thanks for posting this, @Howdy_McGee. I
At the moment, it takes 5 clicks to get from WordPress.org Homepage to the Support Forum Profile where I want to see which posts got new replies.
Current Flow
- Navigate to WordPress.org
- Click on "Log in" in upper left corner of screen.
- Click to "Forums" using main menu (which takes you to: https://wordpress.org/support/).
- Click on any forum
- Click on "Howdy <username>" to access forum messages and profile.
Having a link to my "Forums Profile" in the admin bar would be nice, as would a link on the main Support landing page (Which is now also the "main" forums page).
