Description
When I go to the plugin directory on Japanese WP site, its descriptions are all shown in English, even though we have translation for it.

This problem has been found on both the online directory and live WordPress sites.

Hi @Otto42,
It seems that Akismet was not a good example. Let's say it's the Contact Form 7 plugin. The translation for Japanese is completed as 100%.
https://translate.wordpress.org/locale/ja/default/wp-plugins/contact-form-7
However, when I search it on the Japanese plugin directory, the description is still English :(
I'm seeing the same problem on most of Rosetta sites (May be all of them?), it's obviously not a problem on translations.

Contact Form 7 does show the translations:

Maybe you're talking about the search screen in specific, or the short description translation not showing properly.

Hi @Otto42,
Yes I know that It shows translation on the plugin page. I'm talking about only the descriptions on search pages.
Translations were used to be there, at least least until last July.

This seems likely: https://meta.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/5736
The translations seem to be incomplete?
https://translate.wordpress.org/locale/ja/default/wp-plugins/akismet
I'm seeing 92% and 67%, respectively. I'm not entirely certain with the code, but I think it doesn't kick in until 95% and even then, it takes a couple days for the caching process.
Maybe I'm wrong. I'm not entirely certain, but finishing the translation is a thing that I know is at least one factor.
