On more than one occasion I've tripped up on the fact that the subdomain for an individual profile is ​https://profiles.wordpress.org/garyj (profiles, plural), and not ​https://profile.wordpress.org/garyj (profile, singular).

Would it be of value to add a redirect that would eliminate this issue? Right now, the incorrect subdomain means the user gets jarringly redirected to ​https://wordpress.org/.
