#371 closed defect (bug) (wontfix)

Updating WordPress.org email address doesn't update target for Trac notifications

Description

I had mine as daniel@ and changed it to dbachhuber@. I'm still receiving emails at daniel@.

Also, it would be nice to have some mention of "where to change your email address" on https://make.wordpress.org/core/notifications/

Problem fixed itself for me after a while. Closing as wontfix — feel free to re-open if someone suspects there might be a genuine bug to be fixed.

Upon browsing Trac, it'll re-sync automatically. This is on a per-Trac basis, though. Chances are you hadn't actually hit a Core Trac page between the time you changed your email and the time you received the emails.

It's possible that it requires some kind of discrete action like a login, though in testing it picked it up for every pageload when it validates the cookie.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
