    88As such, there's no general benefit for WordPress users (NOT plugin developers) to either a) remove the PHP lint checking, or b) rush the systems team on deploying PHP8 before they're comfortable switching production over to it.

     10(edit: I realise that this is also preventing forward-compatibility for some, there's not much we can do about that at this time, and wasn't the point of the last comment I was responding to)
