There is no way on make blogs to register for WordPress.org

We often direct new potential contributors to make.wordpress.org, but there is no way for them to create a WordPress.org user account. As this is a prerequisite to contributing and the make blogs are often given as a destination to get started, we should make it easier for people to create an account.

Possible ideas for a fix: Next to Login, display a link to register

They have to register at ​https://wordpress.org/support/register.php. You can add a link to there from anywhere, more or less. So where should such a link be added?

I think all the make blogs have the westi-added bit that shows Login link in upper left if not logged in. Let's just amend that to be Log In or Register.

That's actually already in there, but it's geared for WordPress registration and not the bbPress one. I'll make an add-on for it.
