Description
Hello,
Following a discussion raised in #core-privacy - https://wordpress.slack.com/archives/C9695RJBW/p1539985170000100
I wanted to suggest the addition of a Component Maintainer badge for all the amazing people listed here;
https://make.wordpress.org/core/components/
It would be nice to give them credit for taking on that role.
Thanks

I don't think we need another badge for this. We already have a Core Team
badge which could be used for component maintainers as well.

- Resolution set to wontfix
- Status changed from new to closed
Agreed. Let's use the Core Team badge for component maintainers.
Closing as wontfix. Thanks for the suggestion @garrett-eclipse!

Thanks for the thoughts everyone, do I follow correctly then that we'll be applying the Core Team badge to the existing component maintainers?
Will that happen automatically or do I need to create a new ticket to prompt the application of the Core Team badge to component maintainers?
Appreciated
I would certainly welcome a dedicated badge not just to honour the work of my fellow core-privacy team members, but to create a new and positive visual language for privacy work outside the usual implicitly negative tropes of padlocks, spies in trenchcoats, etc...
