"Get Involved" and "Contribute" is convoluted

Description

The Get Involved link in the global nav goes to http://make.wordpress.org

Core Trac points to a number of resources including a Codex page on contributing.

The Core Handbook has some example of how to contribute (mostly geared towards code).

I don't think it's clear (UX) how people can figure out how to 'get involved'.

Two things:

  1. make.wordpress.org needs an improved homepage and will become the "one" place to learn how to contribute. That links should remain as it is.
  2. The links you gave are for contributing to core specifically. There are other ways to contribute, currently organized by "teams," each with their own P2 installs (on make) and eventually with their own "how to contribute" handbook. When those exist, we'll point other, older resources to the relevant handbook. (In the Core cases, that codex page will be redirected to the handbook and the core trac page will point that direction as well.)

Re. 1: George Stephanis gave me a mock-up for a new look for the make homepage. It looks simple to implement, so this will likely happen soon, after we work out some minor details.
