Single line code samples don't show underscores

Description

I'm not sure if this is the syntax highlighter, or the theme for various parts of the site, but at least the support articles that show one line code samples get cut off at the bottom, so underscores are not visible.

There are several examples on https://wordpress.org/support/article/configuring-automatic-background-updates/

Here's a little info on this.

The underscores display properly for me with Chrome 78.0.3904.70 and Firefox 70, but do not display in IE 11.418.18362.0 and Edge 44.18362.449.0 (on Win10, 1903).

To further complicate matters, in both IE 11 and Edge, the underscores do display in some of the single line code samples but not in others :-(

This is from the plugin, and mostly dependent on font size, zoom your browser and you can see.
The fix is for the plugin to not set the line-height. It effects not just support but other sites too. I noticed it here: https://jetpack.com/support/development-mode/

I have a PR open to address: https://github.com/Automattic/syntaxhighlighter/pull/9
