Description
The component pages on make.wordpress.org/core include a list of all the tickets that don't have any replies. I find this list really helpful to make sure that tickets that people are opening get replied and aren't left waiting for a response.
The list of tickets includes tickets opened by maintainers of the component. I think this somewhat dilutes the value of the list because there isn't someone left waiting. So it makes it harder, at least for me, to use the list effectively.
I think it'd be more helpful if tickets opened by component maintainers were excluded from the list. Alternately, perhaps exclude tickets that were opened by the current user?
Note: See
TracTickets for help on using
tickets.
Would excluding tickets
opened by the current user potentially only if they're a maintainer of the component
be an option here then?Personally I don't think it makes sense to exclude maintainer-opened tickets, they deserve discussion as much as any other ticket. In other words: don't think a ticket should be ignored just because a committer or component maintainer opened it.
