Description

I asked the support moderators in Slack if developers should leave tickets as unresolved or mark them as solved if the developer has replied to a question but the original poster never follows up. They replied that those are not "tickets" but "topics", and that it's fine to leave them open forever if the user leaves if abandoned. (https://wordpress.slack.com/archives/C02RQC6RW/p1587734160248400)

On the other hand, on the Plugin Directory, WordPress refers to those topics as "issues" in the stat "Issues resolved in last two months", included in the section "Support", and it calls the button "View support forum".

From the eyes of a user, those unsolved topics are seen as unsolved bugs. Maybe changing that string to "Topics resolved in the last two months" would make it more clear.

  • Resolution set to invalid
  • Status changed from new to closed

The wording of "issues" is correct and is not a problem.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
