Description

http://wordpress.org/support/view/no-replies

The list is over 4k and many of those are old and no one can reply. Can we exclude them so then, realistically, we could start from the oldest?

It's just a view of the forums. I don't think that realistically we want to try to achieve "inbox zero" on that view.

I mean, I can limit it to like the last year or something, but what does that help? If the view is just not showing old things, it doesn't mean they don't exist.

It lets you start from the oldest, so people waiting forever feel nice. Also it gives you a feeling that the task is surmountable.

I don't see the harm in making the change. Ostensibly the view is for identifying the unreplied-to topics so they can maybe be replied to. Listing those that are closed (by age or explicitly) runs a bit counter to that purpose.

I have it patched and will push it live shortly.

It takes roughly 4,260 pages of results down to 4,226 (when discounting explicitly closed topics), then down to 584 (only those topics opened within the last year and thus are still open).

Fixed.

Topics that have been explicitly closed and those that are older than a year (both situations for which replies are not permitted) are no longer included in the "No Replies" view.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
