Description
I'm not certain if this should be opened as a Core Trac ticket, Gutenberg issue, or best tracked here so apologies if I'm logging this in the wrong place...
I'm currently working on the 5.5 Field Guide and see that when I embed the https://make.wordpress.org/core/2020/07/16/block-patterns-in-wordpress-5-5/ post the Glossary helper text that appears on the "block" term in the first sentence gets injected into the excerpt shown when embedding that post. Ideally that Glossary helper text is not injected into the excerpt as it makes the excerpt quite confusing.
Here's what the excerpt shows now:
In WordPress 5.5, the blockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API …
Note that after "In WordPress 5.5, the block" the content from the "Block" glossary entry gets injected. The excerpt would ideally show copy straight from the post (or an excerpt that's explicitly provided for the post).
Fixed in wporg-glossary plugin: https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/2348535/wporg-glossary
