Blocklist for .org Forums

Description

We have a few prolific spammers, most notably a variety of users posting 5 replies linking to 8grids(dot com) every hour on the hour. Eventually, they catch on to the bozo and bring yet another new account into the loop.

As we try to completely clear the spam queue regularly (rescuing valid replies and deleting spam), it would be nice if we had an always-delete blacklist for major known offenders like this.

I understand that such an always-delete blacklist could result in lost support requests, but we're a responsible crew, and I'm sure we'll thoroughly discuss any additions to said list before acting. Plus, we'd only use it for major repeat offenders. For example, I'd really love to no longer see 5 replies about 8grids on the hour every hour, and I highly doubt any legitimate user would ask about it.

  • Resolution set to worksforme
  • Status changed from new to closed

After the migration to bbPress 2.x, we now have Akismet doing a lot of the heavy lifting here, and this hasn't been a visual issue since.

Marking as worksforme based on this not being an apparent issue any more and we have a better spam solution implemented these days.

SIte admins should also be able to block users via discussion settings (I think)
