Unable to search for Categories

In the photo section page(​https://wordpress.org/photos/), when we trying to search by categories, It is not working properly. I tried to search with objects, arts-culture, animals category name but it's not working.

Hi! Thanks for bringing up the issue. It was intentional that categories were not included in search. There are only a handful of them and they are quite broad. You'd be just as well off simply navigating to the archive of the desired category.

The Photo Directory uses the built-in WordPress search, so in general it is quite simplistic and limited in what it can do.

That said, there's no real harm in allowing categories to be included in the search.

Or perhaps we just need to surface the link to the category listing, as well as the tags listing, colors listing, and orientations listing that I think currently only appear when a search fails to return any results (as seen in the second screenshot).
