Description
While looking at some translation projects (via #6198), it can be confusing when there's lots of translators who haven't been active in recent times, causing confusion while trying to determine who is active.
Currently the table is sorted by the number of strings.
For example, https://translate.wordpress.org/locale/mk/default/wp/dev/ has 39 translators listed, the vast majority who have not been active in years.
It would be useful (IMHO) if it listed those active within the last year, followed by older contributors, then sorted by total strings.

Added a screenshot of what it would look like if it was just sorted, without any extra headers, and doesn't look that great :)
I would probably suggest having the table split in two, rather than just sorted, so there's Recent Translation Contributors
and All Translation Contributors
/ Translators who are not currently active
... I'm really lost for words on what the second group should be called..

Splitting it the same way like locale translation contributors would be nice.
example:
https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/?locale=ru_RU
Current Translation Contributors (1,047)
(list goes here)
Past Translation Contributors (1,633)
(those were not active for more than a year)
I suggest to keep same wording (current and past contributors) and time period for inactivity.

Replying to fierevere:

Yes! Thank you for pointing that out, reusing that wording and time frame would be perfect for consistency.
Example of it sorted by recent (1 year) contributors first, then by string count
