That's using the localized date_format string.

For some reason, on "co", it's returning "j di F di u Y" for the date_format.

Somebody might want to check the translations, see if they can find where that is in Corsican.

Yep. WordPress never was released in Corsican (see https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/?locale=co ) and the translate site even bails out when you try to select that locale (try https://translate.wordpress.org/locale/co/ )

I don't know why #!php <?php mysql2date( get_option( 'date_format' ) returns such a weird formatting string, but perhaps the best thing here would be to somehow set noindex for various meta pages in locales that never released.
