#6589 closed defect (bug) (fixed)

Differentiate the "support" link from other tabs

Description

On individual plugin pages, the plugin's support forum link is presented as a 'Support' tab alongside 'Details', 'Reviews', and 'Advanced'. However, unlike those other links, 'Support' is not a tab but a link to another part of w.org (the support forums at wordpress.org/support/ specific to the plugin). Since it isn't really a tab, the link to the support forum should be differentiated in some fashion, likely with a different presentation and relocated to some other area of the page but with no less prominence.

I think it's LESS likely to be seen all the way over there on the right. Can we get a chance to comment on this stuff before you make changes to the forum pages? You posted the ticket at 2:17 PM (CST) and committed a change at 2:22.

This ticket was mentioned in Slack in #forums by sterndata. View the logs.

That was a change to the plugin pages, not the forum pages. And you're welcome to offer opinions here, but the change was approved. That doesn't mean the change is final. If you have a suggestion for a better idea, let's hear it.

@coffee2code The new icon makes the support link stand out nicely from the rest visually :cheers

But why is it that much out of focus now? It's one of the most important links.

For people with reading workflow left > right it gets easily out of view.
For people with RTL languages this might be an improvement, though:)
