Description

I have been put on the "This post has been held for moderation by our automated system and will be manually reviewed by a moderator." for every post do due directing people to my website for plugin support of my network posts extended plugin. It's been well over a year now and they said it would only be temporary. How do I get my name removed? It was put on the hold by a moderator and he said it would be temporary.

Hiya @johnzenausa, and welcome to the Meta Trac!

This isn't really the best platform for this kind of questions and discussions (the #forums channel on Slack is often a better avenue for it), as the Meta Trac is for bugs and feature requests about the WordPress.org platform it self, and not about the administration of parts of it in this regard.

That said, I had a quick look, since you made a public ticket about it, and I can see that you did indeed initially get flagged about a year ago, but there were some reminders issued about 6 months ago for the same reason.

Due to the low amount of posts since the last reminder, the team does not at this time feel confident that the guidelines may be followed yet. But just keep making good posts that are within the guidelines, and the flag will be removed as soon as possible. Unfortuantely a lot of this ties into posting habits and content of replies, so it's hard to give an exact time of when it will be removed.

Rest assured though, that being flagged just means that one of the volunteer moderators need to approve a post first; this usually happens with in an hour or two of a response being made, and shouldn't hinder your ability to help your users :)

(I've closed the ticket as invalid, the reasons for closing a ticket are limited, and although it sounds a bit direct, it is the most appropriate reason we can use, since the ticket is "invalid" in terms of use-case for this ticket tracker)

@Clorith
Thank you for the nice response. It makes sense and will just keep going as if the moderation wasn't there.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
