Description

After this ticket, we copied the "Server requirements" page from Codex to the Hosting Handbook, so we can maintain the information.

Original page:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Template:Server_requirements

New page:

I'm not sure I understand what is being asked here?

How do you plan to maintain the other languages?

Currently, the other languages in Codex are not maintained. The old pages in Codex are redirected to the new ones or with a text linking to the new ones.

In the future, with the proposal for i18n / l10n will be those translations in all the languages.

OK - makes sense.

How do we want to action this request?

From past experiences, “somebody” did the redirection at the nginx level, or simply changed the Codex with a link like “This page is not available, please check the new information here” (or something like that) :)

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

I've set up a redirect by adding this to the Codex page:

{{#dotorgredirect:https://make.wordpress.org/hosting/handbook/compatibility/#server-requirements}}
