Not having a proper spacing on about page numbering elements

I was checking about page and noticed numbering elements not having proper spacing. Here is the screenshot.. Numbers need padding to display it properly.

This was a design decision. The numbers are more for a visual accent than to be read as content, so it's expected that they're cropped. The same effect is used in other places on the site, for example the words "Simple, Intuitive, …" on the downloads page: ​https://wordpress.org/download/

Hey @ryelle, as per my understanding Download page on hover showing Word properly, but the About Us page on not have any activity on hover. So I think need to fix or add a hover similar to the download page.
