Description
The hosting team is asking for two new channels for improved communications around our team and projects. The channels should be:
- #hosting-team as a channel for the "core hosting" team to plan and prepare
- #hosting-event as a channel to prepare the drafted WordPress event focused on Hosting
For the /here we would for now need the team reps @javiercasares and @crixu.

The #hosting channel should focus on the project work we're doing while the team channel should be a separat channel to plan ahead, get more people involved and move away from DMs and be more transparent.

Replying to Crixu:

Seems like you should consider just using #hosting, no other teams really have a separate "planning" channel from "project work" - That would increase the transparency..
Is the Events separate from the Community organised events? It seems like #community-events would be a better place for it assuming y'all are working with the community events team (who has lots of experience in this realm..)

Agreed with dd32 here. Seems the #hosting
channel (and maybe also #community-events
) should suffice for these discussions. If the need for this becomes more pressing or this approach doesn't seem to work out, feel free to reopen with additional justification.
What's the difference between
#hosting
and#hosting-team
? I'm unsure why a new channel is needed for planning purposes, when it should be as public as possible?
