Description

I tried to create two new Rosetta sites for the new Oriya and Lingala locales.

I added the site for Lingala from https://global.wordpress.org/wp-admin/network/site-new.php but they were added as a subdomain of global.wordpress.org. This was the only option when choosing a subdomain:

I changed the domain name to lin.wordpress.org and the site actually loads, but the administration doesn't work, as it adds the initial subdomain to the address every time and tries to go to https://lin.global.wordpress.org which redirects to wordpress.org

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

Both of these sites were fixed manually by their Network Admin settings pages (Their site/home urls and the blog url was set with .global.wordpress.org rather than .wordpress.org)

Future sites created should also have the correct subdomains now.
