Description
Adding badges for releases should not be difficult, as we already have lists of release contributors to show in the WP admin and can motivate people to contribute on a more regular basis to make a strike instead of getting a Core contributor badge once. Of course not everyone contributes to get a badge, but gamification works for many platforms and applications, and I strongly believe that it can bring more contributors and more fun if implemented. Still, right now I am only asking about an additional section with badges for releases but would love to see gamification as well.

I think instead of creating separate badges for every release,
a minimal "Contribution to Releases" section would be more useful.
Contribution to Releases
- Triage Lead: 6.8
- Noteworthy Contributor: 6.4, 6.5
- Core Contributor: 6.3, 6.4
This way, it simply shows in which versions a contributor participated.
It keeps the profile clean, avoids badge inflation, and still motivates
contributors by displaying their release history. It also gives a clear
picture of how active someone is in WordPress development, alongside
their tickets and other activity.

I consider this a duplicate of #5456
@huzaifaalmesbah @oglekler could you add your thoughts and opinions on that ticket please?
FWIW: I agree this isn't good as Badges, but I'd too like to see it added in some form to profiles.
This seems like a bad idea because it would lead to badge inflation. Also, the entire idea doesn't fit with our current use of badges or or anything close to the way the badge system works. There's no reason to create a per version badge system.
