Description
Summary: Explore adding "Handled N HelpScout tickets" metric to contributor profiles, pending sync changes
Component: Make WordPress profile
Description:
Community Team program managers regularly correspond with event organizers via HelpScout, often handling 10–20 emails a week per person. Like event tracker work, this is currently invisible on contributor profiles.
Unlike event trackers, the current HelpScout sync only records who emailed in (the organizer), not which program manager handled the ticket. Surfacing this would first require a change to how HelpScout data is synced to capture the handler/assignee, plus a privacy review given the correspondence is private.
Ask: This ticket is intended to track the idea and flag the dependency, not to request immediate implementation. If/when handler attribution becomes available in the sync, the same pattern as the event tracker metric could apply: an aggregate count such as "Handled N HelpScout tickets," with no ticket content or participant information exposed.
Scope constraints (if/when built):
- Aggregate count only
- No content, no participant names, no links to tickets
Context:
Discussed with Yani Iliev in Slack and raised with #meta and #community-team; flagged as a larger effort requiring sync changes and a privacy review before it's feasible
