Description

I am proposing the creation of some additional profile badges for the Polyglots team.

Currently, the Polyglots profile badges consist of:

  1. Translation Contributor
  2. Translation Editor

There are however more roles within the Polyglots team, and it would be nice to recognise the additional effort that these individuals put in to co-ordinate the internationalisation of WordPress.

Right now, the highest level of badge is Translation Editor, and this is applied to users who may be a Project Translation Editor (i.e. one plugin/theme) in a single locale, or it may be a Global Mentor - there's no distinction.

In order of seniority, lowest to highest, the other roles are:

  1. Locale Manager: Responsible for an entire locale, recruiting editors, and Rosetta.
  2. Team Representative: To my knowledge, not a 'role' from a technical standpoint, so would need to be manually assigned.
  3. Global Mentor: Oversight on all locales. Administrator-esque.

Users within these roles typically include it in their WordPress.org profile (and Slack) bios, so it would make sense to me to automate that with a WordPress.org profile badge.

I've created a mockup of how the badges could look and attached it to this ticket.

I am however aware of the fact that most of the other teams only have two roles, typically Contributor and Team, so I would understand if this creates an imbalance that is not welcome.
