Just like there's active site counts for plugins now, we could do the same for themes

We'll bring such stats to the Theme Directory in time.

Our latest stats iteration doesn't yet handle themes properly, so we don't yet have the numbers.

In 2094:

Themes: Add an Active Installs count for themes.
This counts the number of sites who report as having a theme of the same name active as their current theme.
If a theme is used as a template for another, it's technically active but not included in this count.

The popular tab is now sorted by the number of active installs as well.
