Description

Got this error several times when committing changes to SVN:

Failed to start '/home/svn/repos/wp-plugins/hooks/pre-commit' hook

This happened on:

  • Initial commit
  • Tagging a release
  • Updating readme.txt

In each case, the commit succeeded on second time.

Have run into the same error, but subsequent attempts to commit will not work for me as outlined in the original ticket. Each attempt results in this error:

Warning: Failed to commit to trunk: Error: Command failed: svn commit --force-interactive --username="SkyVerge" -m "Committing 1.8.1 to trunk"
svn: E165002: Commit failed (details follow):
svn: E165002: Failed to start '/home/svn/repos/wp-plugins/hooks/pre-commit' hook
Use --force to continue.

  • Milestone set to Plugin Directory v3.0
  • Priority changed from normal to high

This seems to be resolved for a few people. Is it still happening?

@Ipstenu Was able to deploy later in the day on this end :)

#4 @Ipstenu

  • Milestone Plugin Directory v3.0 deleted
  • Resolution set to worksforme
  • Status changed from new to closed

Closing this then :) it was probably due to the sync of data.
