I'd get rid of "clients" too. That's a weird word to have in a community site.

While I don't see any issue with the wording, I'd also like to see it have some kind of "or for yourself" phrasing in there as well.

I'm chasing this up to find out what (if at all) the text should change to.

I actually stumbled upon this while translating. I'm not a native speaker, but at least in German, clients and customers would be the same, even if I use synonyms. So there's this weird double mention of customers...
Having it mention "or for yourself" as well is actually a great idea!

Let's go with this:

Create WordPress themes for clients, other WordPress users, or yourself.

I think the 'clients' term still works for the community seeing as a large part of the community build websites for clients or serve clients is some fashion.
