Description

Hello. My profile needs some corrections please: 1) I was a speaker for Wordcamp miami in 2016 & 2018 (see link in #2). And a speaker at Wordcamp Orlando in 2016 (https://2016.orlando.wordcamp.org/session/the-building-blocks-of-a-keyword-study-for-seo-social-media/ another orlando https://2016.orlando.wordcamp.org/session/getting-started-with-wordpress/) Can you update my information on my profile detail accordingly? 2) In addition, can you add the wordpress.tv badge to my profile? ( wordcamp miami references: those speaker events are on wordpress.tv here https://wordpress.tv/?s=georgina+lewis) 3) In addition, I was a wordpress organizer and sponsor (my company Shazzam Media) for wordpress Jacksonville in 2018 https://2018.jacksonville.wordcamp.org/organizers/ managing all of the social media for 2 months leading upto the event. thank you and I look forward to hearing from you. Georgina

Hi Georgina,

You can edit your profile here: https://profiles.wordpress.org/georginalewis/profile/edit/

Badges are awarded on the first contribution to a specific group, so if someone spoke at multiple WordCamps or submitted multiple translations etc, they would be recognized with that one group badge.

The badge for contributing to WordPress.tv is to recognize contributors who have helped maintain WordPress.tv and have been active in that group.

I couldn't find your name in the list of WordCamp Jacksonville organizers, which is probably why that badge wasn't added to your profile. I'd encourage reaching out to their organizer to add you there. /cc @iandunn in case there is a more proper way

Badges for WordCamp's are automatic when the person doing the WordCamp site fills in your information properly. This is why they should be asking you for your WordPress.org username.

I filled in your username on your profile at https://2016.orlando.wordcamp.org/ and voila, you have the badge.

Same goes for https://2018.jacksonville.wordcamp.org/. All I had to do was to fill in the "WordPress.org username" field. This is something every WordCamp organizer should know and has the ability to do.

Hi Georgina,

For your second item about the WordPress.tv badge, you can read about it on https://make.wordpress.org/meta/handbook/documentation/profile-badges/
The badge is given to people that work on the videos and upload them.

As you were a speaker and organizer, I see that you have received the correct badges already.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
