Description

The media captions are using the same size font as the paragraph and they are aligned left to the paragraph again, instead of being smaller font and centered under the image/media. See image for better explanation

Replying to estelaris:

This is happening in the documentation make blog. I have no knowledge of other make blogs.

  • Keywords reporter-feedback added

The page in question does not currently employ captions, perhaps due to the reported issue. But there is a video with a caption on this page on the same site, which exhibits the appearance reported in the ticket.

However, when editing posts, captions appear as they do on the front-end (same font size as paragraph text and left-aligned). This differs from the left-side comparison image that was attached, so the back-end display of captions must have changed in the intervening 1.5 years.

So just to be clear, is the ultimate issue being raised that the back-end and front-end display of captions differ (which they no longer do), or that the front-end display does not center the text and change its appearance (size and/or color)?

Breathe: Add styles for figcaption elements to differentiate them from paragraphs.

Props estelaris, coffee2code.

I couldn't find a post going back some ways that had an image with a caption. However, there are a number with videos that have captions, such as this one, which can be referenced to see how the captions look. If captions do get added to images, they should appear the same way.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
