Description (last modified by )
Twenty Ten was the only theme that did not have source code changes when 6.0 was released, and so an update was not pushed (see #WP55810).
It seems that changes to a theme cannot be uploaded using the usual means unless the ZIP file represents a new version that can be tagged/released. Uploading a ZIP with only the Tested up to
values being changed did not work.
Would it be possible to manually update the readme.txt
and style.css
files in Twenty Ten to indicate that it has been tested against WordPress 6.0? This is not a huge deal, but it would be nice for this to be accurate.
Related: Core committers can upload new versions of themes since [10927].

No, this is not possible for themes at present. All theme changes must update the verdion.
