Hi,
My read more tag has NEVER worked for my worpress site. There is no helpful note about it in the forum as I've done all they've instructed. When I click the "more" tag it rarely actually adds the link to my post and on the random occasion it does, the "read more" option still never pops up on my site. My site is www.season26.com.
I've been using wordpress.org for over a year now and it has NEVER worked. Please help. Again, I've already accurately followed the user instructions. It's something wrong with the coding or something beyond my reach. I would attach screenshots but I don't see an option to do so.

This trac is for tracking bugs and tickets relating to the wordpress.org website itself, not for the WordPress software.
However, to answer your question, the read more tag will not show up on individual post pages, only on combined pages with many posts, like the "main blog" page. Basically, the read more tag shows the read more link on pages where more than one post is displayed. On the individual post page, the whole post is displayed.
