Description

@iandunn said the following is needed:

  1. Dashicon: dashicons-lock
  2. Color: rgb(205, 0, 0); (same as core contributor)

Lemme know if anything else is needed.

I wonder if we should make it a separate color, since the team covers security for Meta/etc too?

What should the badge name be? Core Security Team or just Security Team? (does it applies to all of WordPress.org, or just Core, are they two different badges? etc)

Do you want to add a Security Reporters-type badge too while we're at it? Most team would use Security Contributor in that case, but that doesn't really phrase well here..

How about #008024 - a nice green that comes opposite the color wheel from the core team's red?

Core Security Team or just Security Team?

I'd say Security Team, since the team works on Meta issues too.

Most team would use Security Contributor in that case

I would think that Security Team would be for anyone who is currently active on the team, and if we added a Security Contributor badge then that'd be for anyone who's been on the team (past or present), plus reporters, single-ticket contributors, and anyone else who deserves props for helping in some way at any point.

That seems consistent w/ how other teams use their badges.

add a Security Reporters-type badge too while we're at it?

It seems like we could use Security Contributor for that, rather than having a separate badge. It might be worth opening a separate ticket for that, though, since it'll be more complicated to populate. Most reporters probably won't have w.org accounts, and even if they do it'd be a lot of manual work to collect them.

How about #008024

I don't have any thoughts on the color. It'd probably be ideal to ask someone from the Design team to pick one that goes well with the others, but not a blocker if they're busy.

Sounds like Security Team is a good fit then. Creating a Security Contributor if needed with another ticket at some point in the future, and #008024 could be a good color match.

I went with the #00CC3A suggestion for colour, with a 25% opacity background as all other "primary" groups have.

It feels a tad bright, but #008024 also felt too dark. If anyone feels strongly, or gets design onboard, it's easy to change.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
